Family BBQ and Camp Fire – Sat 18th July 2009

The Mall Romford – Update

Thank-you to Kieran, Jessica, George, Adam and Sam who came down to the Mall this Sunday (5th July 2009).  The children raised a great £123.45 between them.  As always, a big thank-you also needs to go to the management of The Mall Romford and their customers.   No more tin-rattles now until October.

Open Day – Great Success

I hope you all had a great night this Wednesday at the Open Day.  I think the children had a great time, lots of food got eaten ( los about half a stone cooking burgers in the kitchen) and we raised an excellent £154.71 towards the mini bus fund.  Please do let us know what

Dave – Update

We’ve had confirmation this evening that Dave’s operation went well. He will be coming out of the High Dependency Unit tomorrow (Thursday) and will be moving to Mandarin A ward at Queens.  Akela will look to drop in the get well cards in the next day or so.    We’ll keep you informed when we

Annual General Meeting (AGM) – Wed 10th June 2009

Our annual Group AGM is on the evening of Wed 10th June 2009, from 7pm. St. George’s day parade – Sun 26th April 2009

It was great to see so many beavers, cubs and scouts at the St. Georges day parade this Sunday (26th April), there were over 24 children from the 21st Romford (far too many to list) and I would say probably almost 700 children in total. The parade got a great reception as it went through

Open Evening – Wed 1st July

All – St. Georges Day Parade – Sun 26th April 2009

There is a change for this years parade as we will be in Collier Row.  We will be meeting at the Methodist Church, which is just past the school , in Clockhouse Lane.  The parade starts at 2.30pm, as such, everyone will need to be there, in full uniform, by 2.15pm at the latest.  

New Year Start Back Dates

Cubs and Scouts will re-commence on Wednesday 7th January 2009.  Beavers will start back one week later on the 14th.
