Fundraising – June 2010 – Thank-you

Many thanks for the support for our two fund raising activities in June.  Firstly, Many thanks to all the parents, friends and family who came along to the Open Night and Table top sale last Wednesday.  We raised over £180 which was great and I know the children had a great time.

Secondly, Many thanks to Adam, Becky, Daniel M, Dylan, George, Jess, Michael, Olivia, Sam, Sherelle and Timi for coming along to the tin rattle at ‘The Mall’.  We raised £165 in just three and a half hours.  Which again, is not bad going at all.

Thank-you to all who have been able to support the group during June.  Your continued commitment to our group is greatly appreciated.

Tin Rattle – The Mall Romford – Sat 12th June 2010 – 10am – 4pm

We’d like to see as many people as possible (children and parent) come to down to the Mall to help us raise funds towards the new Group minibus.  We have done amazingly well to date and hope to do even better in 2010.  If you can’t come down please let us know.  If you can please advise how many hours and which hours you will be available.

Fundraising – The Results

Well done to the small band of regular Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Parents and helpers who have supported the fundraising during December.  We have raised a total of £913.88 during December from various sources, including: Romford Station – £310, The Mall Romford – £175.34 and Roots & Shoots – £206.54 (50% of R&S fundraising, as co-raising with 7th Squirels Heath).

For those of you who havn’t been able to support this years fundraising we would encourage you to join in.  The events are great fun, the children learn from the experience and we all help to secure the resource for the Group.  We are a charity, nobody gets paid for running the Groups on Wednesdays, camps and the various other activities.  As such, life is so much easier if we all pitch in for OUR group – a little help goes a long long way – Sorry, soap box moment over.

Anyway, have a great Christmas and New Year.  And thank-you all again for your support in 2009.

Fundraising – The rest of December

During December we are really pushing the boat out on fundraising as there are so many great companies that offer us opportunities at this time of year and we would be daft not to take the opportunities when they arise.    We promise that the new year will be much quieter.   Anyway, our fundraising schedule during December is:

Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th Dec  – Roots and Shoots – 10am – 4pm – Roots and Shoots Garden Centre, Nags Head Lane, Upminster RM14 1TS – Roots and Shoots is great fun.  We raised lots of money here last year and the staff and management are really supportive.  We would really appreciate as many Cubs and Scouts (Beavers if accompanied) coming as possible.  Anytime you can do, even a couple of hours would be greatfully received.

Saturday 12th Dec – The Mall Romford       10am – 4pm   –  This our last visit to the mall this year.  We have done really well this year and hope to beat our best Mall total of £402.  Again, any time, even a couple of hours will be greatfully received.

Sunday 13th Dec  / Sat 19th Dec / Sun 20th Dec – We have also been offered these dates at Roots and Shoots.  We just need to confirm leader / parent coverage, but would love to do all of them.  We’ll let you know as soon as we can.

Thanks in advance for your continued support

Romford Station – £310 raised

Coffee Morning – Thankyou
