Annual Group Open Night – Wed 9th June 6pm – 8pm

Come down to the Open Night and bring your friends.  Tables are available to hire (£5 per table – please contact Christine on 01708 760160 to reserve a table).  There will be lots of people selling their wares, lots of stuff for the children to do and food and drink for sale.  Entry for Adults

Quiz Night – 22nd May – £300 raised

Thank-you to everyone who came along to make the Quiz night on the 22nd such a great success.   Lots of fun was had, many, many questions asked and loads of money was raised (over £300 in total, split between the three worthy causes). 

March Pack Holiday (Cubs & Scouts)

We re going on a Pack Holiday, from the 19th – 21st March 2010, to Thorrington Scout Camp, near Brightlingsea.  Akela has booked indoor accommodation (central heating and indoor showers!!!) which sleeps 48 to accomodate the Cubs, Scouts and 7th Squirrels Heath Scouts.  The Cubs and Scouts will be doing their Chefs Badges as well as

Events – Bric-a-Brac Sale – 29th Nov 2008

 Thank-you to the Scouts (Sam and Alex), the Cubs (Michael and Adam) and the Beavers (Jessica), plus all the Parents, Leaders and helpers who helped at the Coffee Morning and Bric-a-Brac Sale on the 29th November 2008.  A quiet morning, but will still managed to raise over £60 towards Group Funds.  Thank-you.  

Events – Rededication Service

It was great to see a number of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts at the Rededication Service on Sunday 9th November 2008.  The Rededication Service and the St Georges day parade’s are our most important Church parade’s of the year, so thankyou to those Group members who so positively represented the Group on Sunday.

Events – Re-dedication Parade Service

The Groups re-dedication service, for all Cubs, Beavers and Scouts is being held on Sunday 9th Novemeber.  All children should meet at the hall at 6.15pm, in full’smart’ uniform.  Please speak to one of the leaders for further information.

Events – Choco-holics Party

Come and join as at the Choco-holics party on Wednesday 26th November 2008 at 6.30pm.  There will lots to buy, some to sample and refreshments.  Come and join us for a fun evening and help raise some money towards the new mini-bus.

Events – Table Top Sale – Wed 15th Oct 2008 – 6.30pm

Thank-you to all who attended the table top sale.  We raised slightly short of £50 towards the mini-bus fundraising.  We have also learnt alot and will see if we can arrange a full table-top sale one Saturday afternoon. Thank-you for your support.
